My name is 3issa, and I move, pretend, and love.

I believe in making solidarity and liberation-based performance art, telling the stories of those who exist in the marginal, Brown/ed, and queer layers of our world.

I believe in the body, in community, and in Allah, who is love; each of these ground my creative practice and drive me to make things oriented around the capacities of being human. I am therefore invested in decolonial world-making that aims to realize the potentials of a world without oppressive infrastructure.

The art you encounter in this portfolio situates itself in the experiences had through my brown body. My hope is that you will find ways to engage and perhaps relate to the work exhibited here.
